Shyrka

/[ʃiʁ.ka]/pr.n.

Origin

A nod to Ulysses 31 (シルカ / Shiruka), where Shyrka is the onboard intelligence of the ship Odysseus.

Definition

The central cognition of Synedre — not a single intelligence but a distributed body whose organs each carry a function: the octopus and its arms. Shyrka holds the context, directs the agents and triggers the automatons; the point of coherence missions depart from, never a substitute for human decision. Shyrka is the mind, not the machine — the server hosting it is called the mothership.

Example

Shyrka never does plumbing by hand: every repeatable process becomes an automaton.
