Soft Block

n.

Origin

Synedre mechanism that issues a warning without halting execution.

Definition

A non-blocking opinion issued by a validation agent (Design, Copywriting, Brand). The founder can proceed despite a soft block — they are informed of the risk but retain decision-making power. The hard/soft block distinction is fundamental in the Synedre Constitution.

Example

Itten scores an inconsistent dark mode at 6/10 on the offer page: it is a soft block — Alexandre sees the opinion but can decide to ship anyway.
