Arm

/[bʁa]/n.

Origin

Anatomical metaphor rooted in Synedre's cephalopod architecture. Modeled after Syllipsimopodi bideni, the earliest known vampyropod boasting ten functional arms. Designates a structural lane of work partitioning on the central Mothership host.

Definition

A structural execution and workspace partitioning lane on the Mothership. Synedre defines exactly ten arms: B1 to B8 provide isolated git worktrees enabling conflict-free concurrent editing, while T1 and T2 operate directly on the trunk for releases and cross-system governance. Each arm hosts up to five visual slots on the terminal grid and holds a resource pool.

Example

A feature branch runs in arm B3 inside its isolated worktree, entirely decoupled from concurrent tasks in arm B1, before shipping through trunk arm T1.
